1. Today was the name of India in the Tokyo Paralympics. The first shooter Manish Narwal won the gold. Later Pramod Bhagat gave India gold in badminton competition. Apart from this, Singhraj won the bronze medal in the 50m air pistol event and Manoj Sarkar in badminton. In this way, India captured a total of four medals including two gold today.

2. The Central Election Commission has announced the date for the by-elections to a total of 3 assembly seats in West Bengal. These seats also include the Bhawanipur assembly seat of West Bengal, from where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee can contest.
