AI chatbot Grok developed by Elon Musk and his artificial intelligence business xAI, is purported to do better in multiple academic assessments than OpenAI’s initial ChatGPT version.
According to Musk and xAI, the purpose of developing Gruk is to develop AI tools that will encourage research and innovation and benefit humanity, as they stated in a Nov. 5 X (formerly Twitter) post.
AI chatbot Grok has a “unique and fundamental advantage,” according to Musk and the xAI team, in that it possesses real-time world knowledge thanks to the X platform.

Based on statistics released by xAI, the Grok-1 engine outperformed ChatGPT-3.5 in all academic assessments that it examined, including math and coding tasks.
In all tests, nevertheless, it was not able to outperform OpenAI’s most sophisticated version, GPT-4.

The AI startup said that the Grok will be available for $16 a month on X Premium Plus. However, it is currently only available to a small group of American users.
According to xAI, Grok is still a “very early beta product” that should advance quickly over the coming week.
The xAI team promised to gradually add more security controls to make sure Grok isn’t misused.
“We think that we should do everything in our power to make sure AI stays a positive force,” xAI continued.
Grok was introduced by the AI startup eight months after Musk established the business in March.
