Jammu Kashmir News: Mobile telephone services and fixed line internet services of all telecom service providers were restored on Friday night after the situation in the Kashmir Valley remained peaceful and under control. Officials said that voice calling on mobile phones was restored on Friday night. He said that fixed line internet services were also restored on Friday night. Earlier, internet was working only on BSNL and fiber lines. Officials said mobile internet services would be restored on Sunday afternoon.

It is noteworthy that as a precautionary measure in the wake of the death of hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, all mobile services except BSNL postpaid were suspended in the entire valley on Wednesday night. Internet on fixed line and mobile internet were also banned except BSNL’s broadband and Bharat Fiber. Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) Vijay Kumar announced the restoration of services.

Vijay Kumar tweeted, “So far the situation is peaceful and under control. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining law and order. Mobile services (voice calls) and broadband on all TSPs will open from 10 pm tonight.

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh said on Friday that the situation in the Kashmir Valley is completely under control after the death of hardline separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and people have cooperated with the authorities. . The Jammu and Kashmir police chief also said that a decision on easing restrictions on communication services would be taken in a review meeting “soon”. He said, “The situation is absolutely under control, not a single unwanted incident has happened in the last two days. The people cooperated and the security forces are working with utmost restraint. I congratulate people for maintaining peace everywhere.
