The Municipal Corporation says that the reason for the fire in the OLA S1 Pro electric scooter could be a fault in its battery pack. Investigation of the Ola Electric Fire Incident

However, the company has also reacted after this incident. Following an examination of the scooter, the business issued an official statement stating that external parts had been put in the scooter.
Due to this S1 Pro caught fire. According to the investigation, the parts that caught fire were not the Ethnotics parts of Ola, due to which a short circuit occurred and the fire broke out. Its battery, on the other hand, is secure and functional.
Ola Electric requested customers
Ola has officially issued a statement requesting customers to use only service centre parts to replace parts of their electric vehicles. And install it only through an authorized service centre.
Apart from this, you should purchase any type of accessories from the service centre only. The company says that the accessories available in the after-market electric equipment are different from the authorized equipment, due to which the chances of short circuit increase and such incidents may occur in future.

In the Indian market, the OLA S1 Pro Gen 2 costs Rs 1.60 lakh (On Road Delhi). It is available in only one variant and with five colour options. A powerful 5000-watt motor has been put into it. Which reaches a maximum range of 195 kilometres and a maximum speed of 120 kilometres per hour. The total weight of OLA S1 Pro Gen 2 is 160 kg. It takes a total of 6.5 hours to charge its battery.
